Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This page is for buyers and visitors who want any sale or sharing of their personal information stopped, whether they live in California or elsewhere.
California law gives an opt-out right
The right comes from California.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, a resident may tell a business to end any sale or sharing of personal information about them. ChantMantras accepts the same instruction from residents of every other state.
One email registers an opt-out
Opting out takes a single message.
Send it to contact@chantmantras.com with the word Opt-out in the subject line, from the email address used on orders. There is no form to fill in, no account to open and no ID to show.
Browser privacy signals count as opt-outs
Global Privacy Control works automatically.
A browser that sends the signal is opted out for that browser. In practice the signal changes nothing today, because ChantMantras has no sale or sharing to stop.
Opt-outs are recorded within 15 business days
The support team logs every opt-out within 15 business days.
A confirmation email follows once it is on record.
ChantMantras neither sells nor shares data
The law defines both words.
Selling means handing personal information to another company for money or for some other benefit; sharing means disclosing it for ads targeted on activity across other websites, which the statute calls cross-context behavioral advertising. ChantMantras does neither: no advertising pixel runs on the site, and no list of buyers goes to an ad network. The one analytics tool on the site, Cloudflare Web Analytics, counts page views without cookies and is not used for ads.
An opt-out leaves orders untouched
Orders carry on as normal after an opt-out.
Nothing is canceled and no record is erased, since tax rules require order records to stay. Deleting data is a different request, explained in the Privacy Policy.
Prices stay the same after an opt-out
Opting out costs nothing.
Prices, delivery times and the help the support team gives are identical with or without an opt-out on file.
Agents need written permission
A buyer can name an authorized agent.
The agent files the request on the buyer’s behalf, together with a permission letter the buyer has signed. The store is not aimed at anyone under 16, and data about such a person would never be sold or shared.
